Susan Weinstein, a fashion designer who resides in the East Bay, has struggled not to be daunted by her relatively recent leap from the applied arts to art for its own sake. Her large, complex prints have the texture and depth of fabric, and are usually quite different from the 2004 print shown here, with its ghostly photographic image of a small child entitled "Welcome to New York." |
